Unilever procurement is operating worldwide with 1800 people in the procurement function, sourcing Production Items (PI) en Indirects (IP). The total sourcing spend is around 26billion euro/y, of which 14 billion on about 14 billion on Production Items (PI) and 12 billion on Indirects (IP). IP is transforming during 2011/2012 into an organisation of Strategic Sourcing; Cluster sourcing and Operational sourcing. The role of Cluster Sourcing is to manage the non-strategic local portfolio and to support the Strategic Teams with implementations at local level. As the stakeholders and customers are always local, the Cluster also plays a vital role in stakeholder management. The Cluster Benelux and France will merge in due course of 2012 into the new Cluster BeNeFra. We are now looking for a: Procurement Officer Factories (47047) Main job purpose To source and manage all Purchase Requests for the assigned factories as well as support strategic projects and purchases as made by the Strategic (Global) Sourcing Teams. What can you expect of the job? You will assist the Global Strategic Procurement Teams with the development and implementation of Unilever procurement strategies, relevant for your production location(s); You will support and implement the roll out of the Procurement Strategies in all Cluster BeNeFra, but with first focus on: - all IP requirements at the assigned factories in The Netherlands (2 persons for 3 locations: Rotterdam; Hellendoorn; Oss; allocation to be decided). You will support the supplier assessment, - identification and -selection that would meet the needs of the business; You will lead or support the team lead with procurement projects as needed; You will identify and drive cost savings based on sourcing strategies and compliance management; You will continuously improve ways of working and optimise procurement activities; You will build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers, develop supplier service levels, track and analyse supplier performance data, proposing priorities for performance improvement and follow up monitoring actions; You will address and, where needed, escalate supplier non-performance as appropriate; You will source and negotiate for assigned spend and site clusters goods or services above defined clip level where no contract exists and if not strategically sourced by the Global Strategic Sourcing teams. Skills & Experience Medium or higher professional education or university degree; Procurement specialist with at least 3 years experience in (Indirects) Procurement , preferably in a production environment; Specific procurement education preferred (NEVI/VIB/CIPS/etc); Superior stakeholder management, both internal (across all hierarchies and functions) and external; Ability to operate independently in a production environment; Ability to operate in a large organisation with complex decision structures and remote Experience in contract, project and relationship management; Proactive and positive team player; Experience on change management projects and changing environments; Excellent negotiations skills for both external as internal negotiations; Excellent communication skills; Excellent English & Dutch written and verbal communication skills.
