Associate Scientist Virology Regio Leiden (LabResource)

A challenging position combining coordinating / supervisory tasks with hands on work. In this role you perform various experiments aimed at development and validation of extraneous agents detection tests and viral safety assessments of the production process and of raw materials. Furthermore you coordinate the execution of validations performed at a CRO of virus safety and microbial tests. You coordinate a smalle team and participate in (internal) scientific meetings by giving advice or presenting virus safety testing strategies and results. We are looking for an experienced professional with the following background: o A BSc/MSc degree in a relevant discipline such as cell biology, virology or microbiology or bio-pharmaceutical science. o At least 5 years of experienceo Must have at least 1 year supervisory experience o Broad interest and scientific knowledge of cell biology, virus neutralization studies, virology and microbiology is a must. o Understanding of quality systems such as GMP/GLP is a must. o The Associate Scientist Virology has demonstrated written and oral communication skills in English, Dutch is considered a plus.
